I am here in the UK on a 2 year Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme Visa and am having a hell of a time getting travel insurance.
I dont have any that covers my whole 2 year trip as health wise here I am covered by NHS, however I am going to Denmark for 3 days in June so need to get travel insurance. No one in Australia will insure me as I am not departing for my trip from Australia (bar one company that wants to charge $98 for three days!!)
When I go to UK travel insurance sites, it states that they will only cover UK Residents. So I guess the question is, am I considered a UK Resident for the 2 years?

An Australian insurance asks for $98 being under the presumption that emergency repatriation would need to cover a flight to Australia.
Just get any European Schengen travel insurance and add U.K. as place of residence. AXA Belgium offers Schengen travel insurance for 1-8 days at €16.00. The requirement to hold a travel insurance is a prerequisite for visa applicants; visa free passport holders in general are not asked for it, however it is still recommended to be covered in case of any emergency or accident occuring.
