Why Do Americans oppose Obama’s Health plan reform?

If i understand correctly he wants government to regulate premiums paid on insurance companies so would make health plans affordable and cheaper for citizens or residents which is quite similar to UK, France, Germany and many countries in Europe.
So i cant see why would citizens wouldn’t want a cheaper health insurance? do they want to pay more or just hate that fact he’s a black man or because Republicans ?
Those who speak about the timing..I think he got one term to accomplish this thats less than 3 years now? So when is a good time if there is no time left? When he’s out of the office perhaps? I just need a good argument that doesn’t focus mainly on the business profits.. Why is regulating the price of premium a bad idea if it’ll make it affordable for every American?
So if you don’t buy insurance you may endup in Jail? Well i don’t like that idea especially if you’re just a citizen and not working
All i care about as citizen is to to be on good income, pay less tax and get good medical treatment and have the freedom to choose, so i don’t accept enforcement and citizens should have the right to buy insurance or not as long as its cheaper and affordable
Pickle forget about socialist right wing or left or any political propaganda, you already pay premium for insurance and all your government want to do is to reduce that premium which all citizens of your country can benefit from and you only argument is we don’t to be like Europe and be the USA?
Webchameleonok so you are saying insurance companies or Hospitals should be able to set their own prices that keeps them in business, ok you’re talking about business profits ignoring the fact insurance companies made billions and billions of Dollars in the last decades..humans and citizens deserve better and they should be our main focus..yes every business needs profit but unregulated prices hit the roof and many citizens can’t afford it so what do you suggest Group A lives a very fancy healthy rich life and Group B suffers or die without the basic right of getting medical treatment? I’ll choose citizens any day mate.

The health reform will force every single American to buy insurance whether you can afford it or not. If you’re employed, it will force every businessowner to purchase health insurance for his/her employees (of which you will be forced to pay a minimum of 50% of the premium and 100% for your dependents).

I do think it’s a great idea that someone looks into the cost of medicine, hospital charges and the premiums charged by Insurance companies but to make every single American buy health insurance….that’s a bit much.
