Based on history and other countries’ experiences, do you think America will have public health care soon?
If you look at what happened in Canada, the UK, Australia, and other countries, they were all against single-payer health care, even more so than the US is right now. Then the insurance companies started abusing them, and they decided to give it a try. After implementing it and seeing how great it is, none of them would ever dream of going back.
On the other hand, it is much harder to get things passed in the US congress than in the British or Canadian parliaments, because of the filibuster.
As long as the republicans can stall things we will never get public health care. What a bunch of loser obstructionists they are. They need to be ousted next election!
