Did you know the Republican National Committee SUBSIDIZES ABORTIONS FOR last 18 YEARS?
RNC SUBSIDIZES ABORTIONS FOR last 18 YEARS — AND COUNTING…. The debate over financing of abortions — the basis for the offensive Stupak amendment — is all about money being fungible. Amy Sullivan explained the problem nicely recently: "The problem, they say, is that if any insurance plan that covers abortion is allowed to participate in a public exchange, then premiums paid to that plan in the form of taxpayer-funded subsidies help support that abortion coverage even if individual abortion procedures are paid for out of a separate pool of privately-paid premium dollars."
But applying this argument can prove problematic. Focus on the Family, for example, one of the nation’s largest religious right organizations and a fierce opponent of abortion rights, has health insurance for its employees through a company that covers "abortion services." The far-right outfit, by its own standards, indirectly subsidizes abortions.
RNC — whose platform calls abortion "a fundamental assault on innocent human life" — gets insurance through Cigna with a plan that covers elective abortion.
The Republicans’ health care package has been in place since 1991 — thanks, Lee Atwater — meaning that, by the party’s own argument, it has been indirectly subsidizing abortions for 18 years.
Complicating matters, Politico found that Cigna offers customers the opportunity to opt out of abortion coverage — "and the RNC did not choose to opt out.
As much as I hate abortion and believe it is indeed murder, I have to agree with Harry Brown when he says that government should be out of the question on both sides, because government has a terrible track record defending rights and life.

Yes I did, now they decide to get all upset about it and act like it some new agenda by the liberals? It is almost funny if it were not so real.

Wow! I’m not really surprised though; for "at least" three decades the rich republican women have taken themselves, and their daughters, to other countries to have their abortions because, well, they can afford to do so. They seem to be okay with the idea that those that can’t afford it will just have to find a way; and of course when they don’t and opt to keep their babies then the republicans have a reason to complain and moan because the single parent has to go on welfare, while being educated or trained for a job, to help them support their child.

Life experience.
It couldn’t be more obvious today that all along the Republicans only wanted to exploit the abortion issue to get money and votes, and that they never had any real intention of banning abortion.
Between Reagan and the two Bushes, seven Supreme Court justices were appointed. Each was promised to the religious right to be the single swing vote needed to overturn Roe v. Wade. But it never even came up, did it?
GW Bush had six years of a Republican Congress and the most conservative Supreme Court in our history. Why didn’t the Republicans even -try- to ban abortion while they held all the cards?
The reason is that the great majority of Americans are pro abortion rights (not pro abortion). Even 75% of Republican women are pro-choice.
Dan Quayle, the GOP’s point man on abortion for several years, was asked once what he would do if his daughter came to him and told him she was pregnant and was going to get an abortion. He said he’d counsel her against it, but it would be her decision and he would support her either way. MOST Republicans feel this way. But Quayle wanted to pass a law that would prevent other dads from accepting -their- daughters’ decisions.
When are Pro-Lifers going to wake up and see that they’ve been gamed for 30 years?

Steele found out and had them call the insurance company and opt out of that coverage. This did give me a laugh!
