American health care behind Colombia and Israel!?
im studying health care system throughout the world and thought this was disgraceful. America claims to be one of (or the best) country in the world for medical science etc and yet in The World Health Organization’s ranking of the world’s health systems you are 37 yep thats pretty low! you are behind Israel (28) and UK (18) and Oman (8) isnt this scary? also ive been learning that the public is afraid of an NHS system (where you pay medical from your taxes instead of through insurance) well if you do that you never (ever) have to ask for an operation or anything, it just gets done (no matter what) yes we have waiting lists but your insurance companies just plainly say no to most of your causes (wouldnt you rather be on a list instead of a NO?) would you like an NHS system in America (BTW: i have done plenty of research for my final degree so these are facts not assumptions) i just want your opinion on the American health care system. should it change? are you surprised your num 37?
here is the list if you ant to look: http://www.photius.com/rankings/healthranks.html
(im also posting this in this section because you are all currently useing the health care system for your pregnancy’s, and want your opinions)
wow pooled08: lets put its this way 20% is wrong! we live there and have lived in Spain and england and on average we pay 12euros a month to the health care system thats around 10dollars. thats it. you pay way more to your insurance companies i can assure you as we have family all across america. and wouldnt you rather the best health care in the world and pay 10dollars every month than be number 37!!! come on your system of insurance is clearly a failure behind our "waiting lists" etc… dont you want the best for you?
Kerry Q: i really REALLY doubt America would be number 37 if from your quote: Find out what politician, lobbyist, or conspiracy theorist was behind that study (or in the pockets). it is of extremely high knowledge that America are the TOP at this sort of conspiracy so if this were true America would be number 1 on this list dont be gullible
I thinks the US should have NHS i watched Michale Moors Sicko and cried threw most of it and YES insurance company’s deny you of surgery’s so you have to pay out of pocket people lose there homes from this i would rather know that everyone is being helped than just me cuz i have a good job. I think it is selfish to not help your neighbor and fend only for ones self.. a baby born to someone who doesn’t have much shouldn’t be denied cuz their mother or father does not have the money for insurance everyone should be covered

Yeah, right. Take a look at how many people come from all over the world to have procedures done here in the United States. Find out what politician, lobbyist, or conspiracy theorist was behind that study (or in the pockets).
Believing everthing you read on the internet is just plane stupid, perhaps next time research a topic that catches your eye. One source is never enough, and even then you can never be sure who was behind these studies.
The main issue with universal healthcare is that preventative medicine is a requirement. That means that doctor visists are mandatory. My question to the liberal front supporting this issue is what would happen to a person refusing to go to the doctor? Would they be arrested? Would they be fined? Can they make a decision for themselves like a big boy/girl? Or do we need someone to hold our hand and tell us what is best for us?

1. France is number 1, and 20% of everybody’s taxes in France go into their health care system. Thats a disgrace. I would never want a healthcare system like that, especially when…..
2. …….the waiting lines are rediculously long. You said that "we have waiting lists but your insurance companies just plainly say no to most of your causes ". Thats a lie. Nobody says no here in America. If you come into a hospital, you will get whatever care you need, especially if its an emergency situation. No hospital can say "no." it is illegal. Get real.
3. Whatever happened to "paying for the stuff that belongs to you"? We are not our brothers care taker, we are our own care taker. That is a fact. Why should I have to subsidize somebody elses health insurance, especially when that person was not living within his means to begin with?
Edit:
1. I pay about a quarter or two per paycheck for our medicare and medicaid systems. At one paycheck per week, this amounts to $50 per year for those programs. Thats 50 bucks I could have used to go to a movie, pay for gas, or invest into the stock market. Instead, that money is going into the healthcare of people who were too stupid, too lazy, or too incompatent to afford healthcare for themselves. What kind of bullshit is that?
2. Compare this to your system, where, even if my local paper was wrong with their 20% rates, you still pay a whopping $120 per year for your healthcare system. Who are you to tell me that i am everybodys caretaker? Who are you to tell me that the government can spend MY money better then me?
3. I know whats best for me. Not the fuckin government. The government isn’t my daddy. My daddy is my daddy. And big daddy government can fuck himself. He screws everything up. The private sector brings me wealth and prosperity. I trust the private sector.
